This fall professionalism meeting we will be joined by Dotty Magnuson who will lead "Professionalism 101", involving an interactive Kahoot style game that will review and reinforce foundational Actuarial Professionalism concepts focusing largely on the AAA.

About the speaker:

Dotty Magnuson, FCAS

Dotty Magnuson is an FCAS and International Actuary at Travelers Insurance Company.

She is currently responsible for planning and reserving across Travelers International

footprint. She has experience pricing and reserving insurance and reinsurance.

Prior to joining Travelers, Dotty worked as an actuarial analyst at two reinsurance

brokerages: Guy Carpenter and Benfield. Prior to actuarial work Dotty taught high

school math. Dotty earned her FCAS in 2008 and graduated from Carleton College in

2001.

Dotty volunteers with the CAS Professionalism Education Working Group, the

Travelers’ Women in Actuarial and Analytics group and with Scouts BSA.

Dotty resides in St. Paul, Minnesota, with her husband and two kids. She enjoys

swimming, running, biking and pontoon boating with her family and friends.
