TCAC 2023 April Meeting - Understanding IFRS17 & Lessons learnt

This April we will be joined by Wendy Wu, FSA, MAA, who will be presenting on IFRS17. We will also be joined by Paul Zhang who has worked on the presentation and will join us for Q&A.

Bios below:

Wendy Wu, FSA, MAA is a Senior Consultant in the Actuarial and Insurance Solutions (“A&IS”) group at Deloitte, with 10 years Actuarial (Life) experience in North America.  She is an experienced life actuary, having worked predominantly in model implementation, actuarial system conversion and financial reporting.

Wendy has extensive experience with valuation modeling and financial reporting as well as hands on experience working on IFRS17 accounting regulation.

Tianchi (Paul) Zhang is a manager in the Actuarial and Insurance Solutions (“A&IS”) group within Deloitte, with 9 years Life experience in North America. He is an experienced life actuary, having worked predominantly in Model Validation, Universal Life Pricing and IFRS17 Modernization.
